Whare Kea Rates: from NZ$500 per person per night

Set on the edge of Lake Wanaka with farmland planted with native grasses and trees, Whare Kea is built in a contemporary design featuring timber, steel and glass to maximise lake views.  There are six spacious guest rooms with individual ensuites.  A four-course gourmet table d’hote dinner and breakfast are served in the large dining room overlooking the late, with views to the Southern Alps.  Whare Kea Lodge is fully licensed and provides picnic lunches on request

There is a fully hosted chalet also available high in the nearby mountains.
