Western Southland Farms - Southland

A warm welcome awaits you on our farms when you come to Southland. The Southland Province is famous for its scenery, seafood, its large number of sheep and farming. The selected farms are within short travelling time from Queenstown, Milford, Te Anau, Riverton, Invercargill, Bluff, Dunedin and the Southern Scenic Route.

The Western Southland Farm Hosting Group was established in 1986 by a group of farming families and since then has offered guests the opportunity to experience a range of farming activities and life on genuine working New Zealand farms. These farms offer a wide variety of farming operations, which include raising sheep, deer, cattle, and intensive cropping.

The farm owner gives visitors an insight into how rural New Zealander's live and work. Farm tours are included as part of the stay or guests may choose to go for walks, sightseeing or just relax and enjoy the countryside. All homes offer quality accommodation with a high standard of comfort and cleanliness, and all have been assessed for suitability for guests.
