Described as an unspoiled Island Retreat and bird watchers’ paradise, Stewart Island Lodge invites guests to enjoy the natural bush setting and unsurpassed views of the bay and surrounding hills.  The large garden is host to many native birds including native parrots that can be viewed from the lodge terrace. 

Relax in the dining room in a comfortable leather chair while dinner is being prepared from fish that guests may have caught themselves.
