Shotover Jet - Queenstown

Shotover Jet is the only Jetboat company operating in the Shotover River canyon and promises to give you the ultimate in jet boat experiences. An iconic visitor experience in Queenstown, the powerful jet boats are dwarfed by the Shotover Canyon walls which tower above. The drivers skills are evident as they whip past rocky outcrops and skim around crags and boulders.

The Shotover jet leaves from Arthurs Point, 6 km from Queenstown and shuttles leave from The Station in central Queenstown. Allow 1 1/2 hours hours for the trip.

Life jackets are mandatory and supplied by the company. Optional splash coats are also provided. In winter, gloves, hats and warm clothing are recommended. In winter months hand rails on board your jet boat are heated for passenger comfort.Suitable for children from the age of 5 years.

Shotover jet also operates combination trips for those who wish to experience other activities combined with a jet boat trip on the shotover, including helicopter mountain landings, Skyline Gondola Trip and a Luge ride, perfect for families with school age children or for those who just love abit of fun and adrenalin!

Nomad Safaris, operating out of Queenstown, New Zealand, offers small (max. 6 people per guide), personalised tours into NZ back country. Explore historic gold mining areas, some of the locations of Lord of The Rings filming and an exclusive high-country farm. Nomad Safaris use fully-equipped Land Rover Defenders to handle all terrain for our 4WD safaris. Quad Bike tours use fully-equipped Honda 400cc ATV Quads which are completely automatic.

We operate with Department of Conservation approval, respect the environment we visit and are actively involved in the care and preservation of heritage areas.
