Kawarau River Raft

Shotover River Raft
Begin with an unforgettable coach trip on the historic Skippers Road along old goldminers trails into Skippers Canyon, unparalleled in terms of scenery followed by a challenging and exciting ride down this Grade River.
Rafting from Deep Creek over peaceful waters at first, we head toward the exhilarating rapids of the lower Canyon, experiencing the memorable rapids Rock Garden, Sharks Fin, Toilet, Pinball, Jaws, Sequel and the unforgettable 170m Oxenbridge Tunnel, followed closely by Cascade Rapid.
Landsborough Wilderness 3 Day Experience:
The river trip begins in the very heart of this wilderness country. The Landsborough Valley is one of New Zealand’s most isolated specially protected areas – untouched, unspoiled, visited by only a privileged few. On your Landsborough Wilderness Experience you will raft silently down the Landsborough River as it flows from high alpine areas of the Mt Cook National Park to the Haast River in South Westland.Your small group will glide past glaciers, 10,000ft mountains and dense rainforests.
As you camp and paddle your way down the Landsborough River, you will have plenty of time to experience outdoor activities such as bush walking, hiking, and canyoning through ancient beech forests - the habitat of a variety of native birds.All you require is a sense of adventure and love of the great outdoors and a reasonable level of fitness, to explore the splendour of this remote mountain valley in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. You will stay in well arranged camp sites and enjoy hearty and delicious meals along the way, cooked by your guides.
