- Lakeshore, Forest and Bird
This 1/2 day guided walk includes 2-3 hours of walking on easy well formed terrain around the lake and through native forest on well formed tracks. An excellent introduction to New Zealand native birdlife and with spectacular lake and mountain views.A reasonable level of fitness is required.
- Matukituki Valley and Rob Roy Glacier
A full day guided walk, away around 9 hours from Queenstown and with 5 hours walking on well formed but uneven terrain. This walk takes you through stunning ancient native beech forest dripping with lichen and ferns, abundant birdlife, snow capped mountain vistas, waterfalls and rivers and the magnificent Rob Roy Glacier.A picnic lunch is provided and pick up from either Wanaka or Queenstown accommodation.A reasonable level of fitness will ensure an enjoyable day.
- Routeburn Walk
A full day tour which takes you along the edge of lake Wakatipu to the alpine village of Glenorchy and into the famous Routeburn Valley where your walk begins among towering ancient beech trees and climbs gradually through blankets of forest moss and fern along the edge of the Routeburn River.After lunch you climb through a vast mountain meadow towards the Harris saddle, with views to Tasman Sea and inland.This is truely aweinspiring scenery in a remote and pristine wilderness. Tours take 9 hours with around 5 hours walking depending on fitness.A picnic lunch is provided.
