The Black Water Rafting Company is legendary and provides tours for those seeking an adrenaline-fuelled challenge. Black Water Rafting is an experience unique to New Zealand. It involves the use of an inflated rubber inner tube as a flotation device to take you down river and through the Ruakuri Cave. Each Black Water Rafting expedition includes 8-12 people and two expert guides. There are two exhilarating tours; Black Labyrinth which is a 3-hour cave tubing excursion and Black Abyss, a slightly more vigorous approach to the same underground domain by combining abseiling, climbing and cave tubing into a physically demanding 5-hour adventure.
