Bayview Chateau

The Bayview Chateau is a ski resort in the winter and a base for walking and trekking in the summer. The famous Tongariro Crossing is still a standout one-day trek. Lake Taupo and the Whanganui River are only 30 minutes away.

 All suites  offer stunning views of all three towering mountains - Mount Ruapehu, Mount Ngauruhoe and Mount Tongariro - and surrounding views of the World Heritage Tongariro National Park.

Superior suite

Guests are provided with  a view over the golf course or out onto the surrounding World Heritage National Park from the top floor of the Chateau Tongariro, in the stunning Tongariro Wing.  These rooms have a Super King bed, a separate bathroom with spa bath, separate shower and under-floor heating.

Tongariro Wing Premium SUITE

These suites are located in the newer wing of the hotel completed in 2005 and contain a  Super King bed,  separate bathroom and shower with under-floor heating.These suites are available in a twin configuration with two single beds - personal preference will need to be specified at the time of booking.

Te Heu Heu Suite:

This is the Chateau's preimum accommodation. Spacious, luxurious and decorated in the finest classical-style furnishings, the imposing Te Heu Heu suite is situated on the top floor of the plush new Tongariro Wing.
