Suites:

Whare Kea accommodates a maximum of twelve guests in six suites, each with king size bed and luxurious bathroom with double bath and shower. All rooms have direct access to the sun deck and its spectacular vistas.

The Chalet:

The offer of an overnight stay in a luxurious, high alpine Chalet, is exclusive to Guests of Whare Kea Lodge.  It is accessed via a scenic helicopter from the main lodge and is located high in the Buchanan Mountain Range beside the Mt Aspiring National Park.  The Chalet comprises two double guest bedrooms, living areas, bathroom and sundeck.  Each party of Guests is accompanied by a qualified guide and a personal host to attend to Chalet needs.

The day starts with a sumptuous smorgasbord breakfast in the early morning sunshine. 

Dinner:

Guests will enjoy a dinner where the chef handpicks the freshest and best produce, cooks it simply and presents it superbly.

Activities: 

Beautiful lakeside walks start right at the front door. Overnight hikes and longer excursions can be arranged with local guides, along with a heli-hike / picnic with a gourmet lunch. Spring and autumn are best for trout and salmon fishing in the surrounding lakes and mountain rivers. The region boasts three spectacular golf courses. During the winter months from July to October, Whare Kea provides the ideal base for heliskiing in the Harris and Buchanan mountain ranges.

To ensure easy access to these activities Whare Kea operates its own six passenger Squirrel helicopter, with pick up and drop off from the front lawn.
